school-based
mental health services
School-based services bring high quality mental health care into the schools to improve access to care for vulnerable students and their families. By being in the school, mental health care is provided during the school day, limiting time away from school for appointments and increasing access to students who may not have insurance or the ability to find a therapist locally.
Our licensed mental health professionals provide counseling, therapy, and case management to children struggling with family issues, peer conflicts, emotional concerns, disruptive behavior, or poor attendance.
we serve:
Students who are in crisis
Students who are struggling in school
Students who present with an acute situation
Students who have chronic/long-term/intensive struggles
Our school-based program engages and re-engages students in the classroom, reducing barriers to achievement. Students engaged with us in counseling services consistently show improvement in overall functioning, better grades, reduced behavior concerns, and reach higher levels of success.
All of these services are free to our clients and their families through funding from our partners.

how we are
funded
Impact Counseling Services is extremely fortunate to partner with local nonprofits and schools to provide individual and group counseling and other school-based services to students, families, and school staff at no cost to families in partner schools.
Interagency Support Council of East Williamson County, St. David's Health Foundation, Georgetown Health Foundation, United Way, VOCA, and, Williamson County Juvenile Services, and the school districts we serve work together to provide funding to support these essential school-based services. Grants pay for a significant portion of program costs, helping to relieve the burden on school districts for meeting the mental health needs of their students and families. These significant partnerships reduce barriers--such as cost, transportation, and time away from school--and increase access to mental health services by providing a dedicated mental health professional on campuses.
We are grateful to our partners and our school districts and want to say thank you for your continued support of school-based mental health services.
