Hali Garrett, LCSW

SCHOOL-BASED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL

Hali Garrett, LMSW is a therapist with Impact Counseling Services, INC., and serves two middle school campuses in the Georgetown Independent School District. Originally from the Midwest, she graduated with degrees in fine art and English from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. For the past ten years, she has worked with children, adolescents, and families in school settings and earned a certificate in Child Development prior to moving to Texas to study clinical social work. Hali graduated in 2014 with a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.

Her focus with school-based psychotherapy is to help students who struggle with issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, and attachment, and her therapeutic style warmly imparts positive regard and non-judgmental acceptance, meeting students where they are, with the goal of helping them find balance and wellness in their lives. She believes in working holistically with a client's mind, body, and spirit and to help facilitate that work, she has completed training in EMDR and is also a registered yoga teacher. In her time outside of her work in mental health and yoga, she enjoys making art and exploring nature with her partner.
